Who We Are

Texas Chefs Association is a chapter of the American Culinary Federation. Texas Chefs Association is comprised of 14 dynamic chapters operating in cities across Texas. Our association provides members with timely seminars, networking tools, and professional advancement opportunities to help them further their goals within the food service industry.

Our Mission Statement

“It is our mission to promote the culinary profession and make a positive impact for culinarians through education and certification; while creating a fraternal bond of respect and integrity among culinarians in Texas.”

Chef Urban  

In Chef Bernard Urban’s lifetime he has acquired a long list of accomplishments.  Some of his most recent were the TCA Award of Distinction presented to him at the July 2014 Texas Chefs Association Convention.  In July 2013 chef received the American Culinary Federation Lifetime Achievement Award and was inducted into the American Academy of Chefs Culinary Hall of Fame.  

Chef Bernard has cooked for a long list of presidents, kings and queens and celebrities including President Ronald Reagan, George Bush, Dwight Eisenhower, Texas Governor John Connelly, Queen Elizabeth of England, King Hussein of Jordan, all NASA Astronauts, Debbie Reynolds, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Jimmy Durante, Sammy Davis Jr., Glen Campbell, Muhammad Ali, Wilt Chamberlain, Peggy Lee and numerous others.
