Rio Grande Valley Chapter Golf Tournament - June 18, 2012
A 3 Man Scramble is scheduled at Cimarron Golf Course on June 18th.  Cost is $150 per person for a round of golf and a nice breakfast and lunch all prepared, organized and hosted by Rio Grande Valley Chapter, TCA.  There will be 4 stations of food, a martini bar, beer stations, etc.  For more information contact the RGV Chapter at tcargvchapter@gmail.com.

Culinary Competitions - Orlando, Florida - September 23, 24, & 25th, 2012
The ACF Central Florida Chapter will be hosting culinary competitions at the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association Show in Orlando, FL on September 23, 24 & 25.  There are over $50,000 in cash prizes to be won in these competitions.  Competition information will be available soon on the acfcfc.org website. 

 
Community Outreach Chair - Sharon Van Meter

In order to address the childhood obesity program, Sharon Van Meter, TCA Community Outreach Chair, has partnered with the Greater Dallas Association, Medical City Heart Hospital and Texas Prostart Program, the Texas Restaurant Association's culinary high school program, to create healthy snacks for school children.  Booklets have been compiled by Texas Prostart students with the supervision of a Medical City Heart Hospital  registered dietician and Texas Chefs Association chef mentors.  You may view the healthy snack booklets by logging onto www.medicalcityheart.com and on left side of page click Kids teaching Kids.
