This year's 2014 Texas Chefs Association Convention, "From Hearts of the Farmers to the Passions of the Texas Chefs" will be hosted by the Heart of Texas Chapter in Waco, Texas. Saturday Seminars-Master to Student, World Hunger Relief, Whole Hog Butchery, In House Bread Production, A Year in the Life of a Texas Competitor, 250 Mile Wine Tasting, Flat Fish Fabrication, Cake Decorating, Homestead Heritage: Working the Land, Density Rich Foods, Trimming to Sausage, and The Art of Vegetable and Fruit Carving. Also on the agenda will be the TCA Knowledge Bowl Competition, TCA "Build the Best Burger" and ACF "W" Farmers Market One Pot Competions, Awards Breakfast, President's Reception & Dinner and Sunday morning General Session. The site for the convention will be the Hilton of Waco and Texas State Technical College. Transportation will be provided between Hilton and Friday Ice Breaker and Hilton and TSTC Saturday events. A local shuttle is also provided by the Hilton for immediate area attractions, Waco Regional Airport, with the addition of scheduled pick up and drop off for the Hawaiian Falls Water Park. Local family attractions include Homestead Heritage, Cameron Park Zoo, Texas Sports Hall of Fame, Dr. Pepper Museum, La Bella Visage Day Spa, Shops at Sironia, Texas Ranger Hall of Fame, Mayborn Children's Museum, Cottonwood Golf Course, Waco Art Center, Cameron Park, Disk Golf Course, Mountain Bike Trails, Shops of Downtown Waco and Richland Mall so be sure to bring the family!
